This blog covers a wide variety of topics, from parenting, cooking, homemaking, parenting, to gothic lifestyle posts, with a splash of makeup thrown in for good measure.

Since I was a teenager, I’ve loved blogging. I fell out of with when Facebook came around, but I really miss the community that surrounds blogging, so why not start again!

Dizz Moll is my stage name from my burlesque and cabaret days. I specialized in “gothlesque” and have always held gothic style close to my heart. Apparently, when my parents told me that it was “just a phase”, I took it as a challenge. While I’m not as dedicated as some awesome people (such as Black Friday), there’s enough crushed velvet in my home to make me happy.

The reason I am writing this blog is because I don’t see a lot of blogs out there that speak to me, as a stepmom, natural mom, goth girl, wife, gamer, and homemaker. Those blogs out there that do exsist are few and far between. As a combination of Morticia Addams and Donna Reed, I figure I might as well ramble about what I like and go through, and maybe connect with some other Morticia Reed’s out there.

I’m originally from the Midwest and now, I live in the ultra-conservative south with my husband, daughter and two bonus kids. While the humidity melts off my pale foundation, and I look out of place in my platform combat boots at Meet-The-Teacher night, I make it work.

Makeup stuff: Oily skin, freckles, red in the cheeks, pale skin tone, green eyes, fine lines and wrinkles because I’m *gasp* 34. I have experience as a professional makeup artist, specializing in theater and performance looks. I use a wide variety of products, from drugstore to high-end, theater effects, and sometimes that weird gunk that my stepdaughter gets for Christmas. I’m definitely not a guru. I don’t claim to be one. I do what I like when it comes to makeup and beauty products.
